Ben and George are settling nicely into their new
home!
Wednesday, November 7, 2001

need to place Ben and George as soon as possible. Both of these boys are
neutered, declawed, and up-to-date on their shots:
Ben -
- Black and white
- 7 years old
George -
- Red and white
- 6 years old
They have lived with small dogs in the past without any
problems. George is very friendly and outgoing. Ben is a little shy at
first but is also friendly.

Saturday, May 26, 2001

Sophie is a black Maine Coon look-alike, spayed and
up-to-date on her shots. She is a loving cat and gets along well with

your patience and love many times over.

Maine Coon,
Apollo
Thursday, June 28,
2001
Apollo has found a new home!
Monday, June 11, 2001
- Rhode Island
- 3 years old
- Neutered male
Apollo is a silver tabby Maine Coon. Curious and
sometimes affectionate, he is also very strong-willed when he does not
want to do something, such as when attempts are made to brush him, put
him into a carrier for a vet visit, or to move him when he does not want
to be moved. At such times he hisses and scratches, and he has also
bitten. The owner is fearful of Apollo's behavioral issues and is hoping
not to have to surrender him to a shelter.

Maine Coon,
Kerri
Monday, June 25, 2001
Kerri was taken into foster care ... thanks, Fran! ...
and quickly adopted. When a potential adopter came to see her,
Kerri snuggled, purring, into her arms. Thank you, Betty, for giving
this sweet girl a new home where she will get lots of one-on-one love
and attention!
Tuesday, June 19, 2001
- Portland, Maine area
- 2.5 years old
- Brown tabby, spayed
- Healthy, up-to-date on shots
Kerri is very loving to people and gets along with the
family dogs. Unfortunately, she took a strong dislike to another cat in
the family and chases her at every opportunity. The other cat was
recently injured and while the exact circumstances of the injury were
not witnessed, Kerri was probably responsible as she had been chasing
the cat. Kerri ignores the other cats in the home. Kerri's owners are
very sad to have to give her up and are seeking an only-cat home for
her. She avoids efforts to groom her, so will also need someone
willing to work patiently to accustom her to regular grooming.

Maine Coon
look-alikes, Becky and Tom
Becky and Tom have found a new home!
Friday, March 9, 2001
Becky and Tom are a brother and sister whose owner has
developed serious allergies and, sadly, must find a new home for them.
As Becky and Tom have been together their whole lives, we would like to
place them together if at at possible. Very affectionate kitties, their
special trick is to stand up on their back legs for treats. They are
up-to-date on their shots. Becky and Tom would be an especially perfect
match for a mature person who would enjoy their quiet, loving
companionship.

13 Maine
Coons in Delaware
Sunday, April 22, 2001
All of these cats have been placed!
Saturday, April 14,
2001
- Delaware
- All healthy
- All neutered/spayed
- Age range, 5 to 12 years old
- All registered Maine Coons, with papers
A couple retired from breeding are seeking to place
their retired cats due to serious allergies. These cats have all had the
run of the house. Some would do best in only-cat homes; some are
reclusive and will need someone willing to be patient and help them to
adapt to a new life where they can blossom as the center of love and
attention.

Maine
Coon look-alike, Longfellow
Tuesday, February 6, 2001
Longfellow has found a new home!
Wednesday, January 31, 2001
Longfellow is a 6-year-old boy in Massachusetts. His owners are
seeking a new home for him due to a family member's allergies.
They adopted him from a shelter three years ago. He
was already neutered and declawed when he was adopted from the
shelter.
Longfellow is in excellent health and is a long and muscular 12
pound cat. He is well-behaved. A lap lover who enjoys giving as
well as receiving attention, he is also quite talkative, always
ready with an "eck, eck!" comment.
Longfellow is very friendly once he knows you, and gets along
with other cats. A bit skittish around toddlers, he would be
happiest with a mature family.

Maine
Coon, Brennan
Tuesday, November 21, 2000
Brennan has found a wonderful new home and is
settling in nicely!
Tuesday, June 27, 2000
This handsome kitty is Brennan, a
7 1/2 -year-old Maine Coon. He lives in southern California,
though he originally hails from the Massachusetts Cape area.
Brennan is looking for a special person to adopt
him. He's diabetic, and while his diabetes is stable, he does need
daily insulin shots. Insulin usually has to be administered on a
schedule. Unfortunately, his owner's professional obligations make
it difficult for Brennan to receive the attention he needs.
His owner is heartbroken to have to place him,
but feels that it is most important for him that he live with
someone who can provide the care he needs. The owner will not ship
Brennan, and is willing to hand-deliver him, if necessary, to a
suitable home.
